FINALLY FINISHED FFXII!
Hadn't played it in a year, because I just had that bit (or hours >_<) of questing/levelling up to do before I could take Vayne.
WHERE IS THE FANFIC
Also, why doesn't anyone like the "main" villains anymore? Seymour and Vayne kind of get shuffled off to the side with no attention or love, a-and I'm still quite fond of Squeenix villains. (it's all Sephiroth's fault, okay.) It's not just the fans, because um. Dissidia, with Jecht and Gabranth! as the "villains"?

Sonde Sekai wa Happy Day! by Takazawa Taeko Chapter 2 Translation:
I've been going back to translations, and found some old files that I never posted. This translation was done two years ago! I was contacted by someone who was going to take on the project from Smexy Bastards, and did the translation easily enough for them. I don't know what happened to them, (lost track of their LJ when I reformatted my computer and lost my bookmarks) but there's been no release, so I loose this translation into the wilds. I'm pretty sure the raws are (or were) on the Aarinfantasy forums.

Not the next chapter of Outside Interference, but a snippet that has been reluctantly chopped out as unsuitable. I was originally going to have the story through other character's POVs too, but I think I'll stick to alternating between Takara and Kiyomine for now.

And I had no idea where to go after that! So it's cut, as I connect the two other scenes better. Also a snippet from a Okuno/Kashiwagi fic (who knows when that'll be done, if ever, it's so damn slow-moving >_<).
( Okuno and Kashiwagi dancing around each other even after graduation. )
I also did some drabbles for the Love Mode kink meme (have fun guessing which :D) which was surprisingly fun. (I think it helps that I tend to think of Love Mode being fairly plotless, so it's easy to sneak in drabbles that don't become Epic.)

Let's BIBLE!
See, I thought after Angel Sanctuary, Chrno Crusade and Na mo Naki Tori no Tobu Yoake I'd gotten used to the totally random way Christianity is featured in manga. But they all just lacked one thing for the shock factor - genderswitched! Jesus! With fanservice! Getting groped!
(I suppose Na mo Naki Tori no Tobu Yoake had parrot! Jesus with tragically in love Judas, but fanservice! Jesus beats that hands down.)
.......This and Obata Takeshi's Blue Dragon - what's with all this prettily drawn manga where the hero gropes women for a power-up? D<

HAHAHAHAHAHAA, I am reminded why I actually translate things - it's the only way I don't get impatient and therefore skip over gems like a random student in the Demian Syndrome dorms commenting: [ なんか東亭主関白みてえよ]
Reading without strictly translating, I would say, hmm, it says 'Somehow Azuma seems like' UNKNOWN KANJI COMBO lets skip that unimportant bubble! He 's probably just commenting that Azuma looks angry or whatever. But I'm translating it, so out comes the dictionary, and I find to my surprise:
亭主関白 【ていしゅかんぱく】 (n) (1) husband who rules the roost; domineering husband; (2) the hectoring of the husband; ED
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Azuma would be (wait....is?) a rather domineering husband - poor Jyou!
That little gem aside, I have translated some of Libertine Life, thanks to the providing of scans fromlufjad and versine . It's pretty random and short though (still don't even know the characters names! But it looks like it's being designed to be that sort of story...), but Mamiya Oki's art ♥♥♥♥♥! ....Could probably make scanlations quite easily, but had better ask lufjad first.

The translation sequence up is: Japanese -> German -> English -> Revised Natural English-> Checked against the Japanese, re-translating as needed. Thanks toinga_b and versine ’s hard work!
German -> English translations.
Translation picks up from where Storm in Heaven's releases left off; post-chapter 11a.

So! In short, Volume 3 is both Jyou and Azuma pulling away, acting like assholes, and then feeling awful and angsting regretfully about it. I have to say Inner Young Takashi is by far the most sensible at the moment; the two of them might as well admit that they LIIIKE each other and it can’t be helped :D.
Also, the character of Akio is introduced. I quite like her actually, although she makes it a triangle, and it feels like things are going to get rather messy and complicated (-er?)Bring on the Demian Syndrome squee! (Fanfic, people, write some fanfic!)
ETA: Also a note on the nickname the sempai give Jyou - SiH has given it the translation of "'Lil Jo" which is a perfectly valid translation of it into English, but to me doesn't quite convey the full humiliating nuance of it XD - what they call him is "Ojyou-chan" (お城ちゃん) which puns with his name - "Ojyou-chan" （お嬢ちゃん）the same pronounciation, but spelt with different kanji in the japanese means "Miss" (i.e what you'd call a young woman/girl (and affectionately at that.))

S-s-sparkle and love! I just stumbled across the name of a mystery chinese artist that I like a lot! (I love communities!) A couple of the BL scanlation groups, P-S in particular I seem to remember, uses their works for credit pages. (But didn't know the name when I e-mailed to ask ^^;; apparently, just one of those chinese artists. Dang it, artists need more exposure! Credit! And money! I would part with money for that art book! And above all, not have art theft happen to them! ) It...actually ends up that artist was on my DA stalk list already - just that the images posted there, and the images used in the credit pages didn't really overlap. I suspected it was so though, from that magnificent inking style!

EDIT: Actually, now that I'm starting to go through the gallery, I'm starting to think all the images aren't done by the same artist - I'm counting at least three or four styles in there. Seems like she's going for a 'dark' type of story; the tone of it is reminiscent of Ayashi no Ceres. Art is pretty, but somehow not as polished looking as the stuff she does for Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden; probably less time and/or assistance lavished on it.( Spoilers )
Setting is really nice - I enjoyed the opening chapter of FY:GK's setting very much, and I think Sakura Gari is set in pretty much the same time period (I'm away from my manga at the moment, so I can't check presently). Gorgeous mixture of kimono (Masataka wears hakama and gi!) and old-fashioned suits on Souma.
Delightfully formal/humble language is employed in it (or I've been studying for far too long XD) and thankfully there's furigana, as there's a lot of kanji used, even for things that are more usually put in hiragana ("dou" "nasai" "tameni" etc.) - I think it's to sort of contribute to the formal feeling? It does to me anyway.
I am slightly wary of Yuu Watase series, as while I tend to enjoy their introductions, later on, the characters give me the shits. But I am interested in keeping up with this series!

New layout! Code grabbed fromthefulcrum , popped in my own header image, and tweaked some of the positioning slightly. Hopefully everything is still working properly.
Header image edited to hell in PS from the volume one cover art of Silver Diamond by Shiho Sugiura.
If this works well, I might try putting in a different version for themakoto_tateno community, because the current layout is a bit stuffed for a lot of people apparently D:.

Well, I wanted to post the next two chapters together, which I've been sitting on for a while, waiting for time to edit properly, but it has been a shamefully long time ^^;. So, um, fairly rough editing here, point out any GLARING PLOT HOLES/ERRORS OF ALL KIND if you please. .....Haha, I remember there was a stage where I wrote a chapter a week of fic, how did I have that much time?
